Little Black BookAs the embers in our eyes burn We grasp the little black book In which we call our sanctuary; Our home It’s what we go to for comfort It’s the rock we crawl underLittle Black Book
when we refuse to face the truth It’s the thing we hide behind
when we lie It’s what we give when we’re out of excuses It’s the denial we have when someone dies The coals beneath our feet are aflame But we won’t reach for the water We swim around with a smile on our face In this big pool of shame Our guns come out And our big nuclear weapons Blow things up Tearin

One two, Buckle my shoeA flower bloomed today And then blew awayOne two, Buckle my shoe
A bird sang a song But it wasn't too long
The rain began to fall And a child started to bawl
I saw an old lady Who seemed quite shady
She couldn't count to two Or buckle her shoe
I tripped on a rock Now there's blood on my sock
The lock is locked on the door So I sat on the floor
The moon is out But I won't pout
My day was quite sour So I sat down And wrote this for an hour

how's your weekend?
